Exploring the Wonders of Wood

At Crafted by KvG, we use a variety of hardwood species in our handcrafted pieces. We primarily use Black Walnut, hard Maple, Cherry, White and Red Oak and Purple Heart.

Your custom piece will help determine the appropriate species to use depending design considerations, purpose, and location in the home or office. We will work with you to help you make those decisions, but will also make recommendations, based on our experiences.

Below we provide more detailed information on various wood species and will add to it as we use additional species in our pieces.
